What Gemstone Matches Your Personality?

I can’t tell you how often I’m asked, “What is the best gemstone for…?” You can fill in the blank with most anything. While finding the perfect gem for a particular situation is a good thing, having a go-to stone that matches your inherent true self is also key. It’s almost magical and quite comforting having a gem that really resonates with one’s personality and just feel so ‘right’ when wearing it.

Here are 5 Personality Archetypes and the gems that work well with them.

The Artist

Aquamarine is an excellent stone for those in the arts or anyone who feels that they are an artist at heart and wants to tap into that. Aquamarine is a calming crystal that promotes a peaceful almost meditative state of being. It enables one to let go of the part of our mind that insists on order and process and simply lets the creativity flow.

The Sage

Wisdom is the result of life experience, and the perspective it provides. Prasiolite (aka Green Amethyst) is helpful for nurturing your inner wisdom. Prasiolite helps to awaken the heart to its rightful place as the center of human experience and enables your “heart vision” to come alive. Being able to see past human flaws and failings to the perfection of the Spirit within each person is truly the deep compassion of sages.

The Explorer

Moonstone is known as The Traveler’s Stone. As ancient as the moon itself, Moonstone holds the power of mystery. Its secrets are locked beneath a pearly veil, and with them, our own hidden truths. Moonstone is foremost a talisman of the inward journey, taking one deep into the self to retrieve what is missing, the parts of the soul left behind or forgotten, then brought to light. But it also gives guidance and support when making one’s way through the world with its ever shining mysterious light as a guide.

The Lover

No surprise that the gem most associated with The Lover is Ruby. Ruby encourages a passion for life! Ruby stimulates the Heart Chakra’ and encourages you to ‘FollowYour Bliss’! It is an emotionally dynamic stone and charges up passion and enthusiasm. The vibrant red is also associated with sexual attraction.

The Caregiver

Caregivers are the ones that everyone turns to for help and as a result they can often be hesitant to ask for help themselves. It is imperative for a caregiver's own health and well being that they know when to give themselves a break and when to look to others for support. Morganite will remind them that they are also a priority and that it is alright to need time for yourself. It will encourage them to acknowledge their needs and find their own support system.
